  • Staying indoors throughout the day
  • Blocking sunlight completely by staying covered or using sunscreen all the time

Sources of vitamin D:

Exposure to direct sunlight:

Ultraviolet B (UVB) rays for 30-45 minutes between 11am-2pm

Food (animal origin): 

Fortified milk, cheese, fish and cereals

*Boiling and delayed consumption reduces the vitamin D effectively available in milk
