Urdhva Hastasana derives its name from Sanskrit where ‘Urdhva’ means raised or upward, ‘Hasta’ means hand, and ‘Asana’ means seat or pose. Even though it is a simple stretch, it should be performed by maintaining the correct alignment to rejuvenate and energize the body.
