Stress is experienced by everybody, irrespective of their age, gender, economic backgrounds, and social environment. Stress is an emotional experience to which our body reacts by producing the hormones adrenaline and cortisol. These hormones are known to increase your heart rate and blood pressure. The levels go back to normal when there is no stress. However, in chronic stress, these hormones never go back to the baseline levels and lead to health issues like anxiety, depression, heart diseases, and digestive disorders. Therefore, it is important to understand the sign and symptoms of chronic stress; a few of them include:

  • Constant worrying
  • Chest pain and rapid heartbeat
  • Irritability or short temper
  • Depression
  • Frequent sickness
  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Constant worrying

To conclude, eating a healthy diet and incorporating physical activity into your daily routine has given positive results to manage or prevent chronic stress. However, always consult your healthcare specialist for correct guidance, diagnosis, and treatment.
