Understand the second stage of migraine, which is not experienced by many!
The aura stage of migraine affects the nervous system and occurs before or during the attack stage. In many cases, either it goes unnoticed or does not occur at all. A few signs and symptoms of the aura stage include:
- Flashes of light
- Vision loss
- Pins and needle sensations in arms or legs
- Uncontrollable jerking or other movements
- Hearing noises or music
- Difficulty in speaking
- Weakness or numbness in the face or one side of the body.
To conclude, migraines are often considered as a common headache and hence ignored. However, if you notice the above mentioned signs and symptoms, immediately consult your healthcare provider for correct diagnosis and treatment plan. Additionally, if you have been diagnosed, understand what is triggering the migraine, follow a consistent schedule, and follow a healthy lifestyle by incorporating physical activity and a healthy diet plan.
