Anxiety is a common and helpful emotion that promotes alertness, focus and productivity, but it can also be incredibly upsetting, uncomfortable and hard to live with. It is a thought in the present moment that is focused on something going wrong in the future, and is often a notion that things are worse than they really are.

Difference Between Anxiety, Fear and Excitement

Fear and excitement can be helpful emotions, whereas anxiety can sometimes result in a lot of discomfort. These three natural and common emotions have one key difference – anxiety neither has a real reason nor is the reason always clear. It is similar to fear, but without any obvious danger.

  • Urgency to use the toilet more often
